  3. Great painting! I think we have some of these in one of our buildings. They're sort of black and white like this guy. Hmmm...the word "borer" can't be a good bug to have in a building!!

  4. actually the larvae bored into deadfall alder trees and help with the decaying of the wood. They are actually good guys. They apparently like painted buildings to hang out on. They are only in Utah in July then back to the NW.

    Thanks for the visit and good wishes. When it is time, the cataract surgery is a piece of cake. It was the retina that was destroying my vision and the more complicated surgery. It is so wonderful to see it improving.
