my orthopedic Dr. today gave me some good news and some bad news. My left knee looks ok for now. My right knee needs replacement! After seeing the xrays..no wonder it has hurt so much! No more cushioning..just bone on bone. So after my job is over in Sept. I will schedule surgery. In the meantime I want to lose some weight so I lessen any risk factors for surgery.
So I am tired and going to take a nap then I will finish my traveling art journal. Friday is the reception for the 12x12 show at the Hive Gallery and my oldest son, Shane, will go with me. He has also agreed to help me in my fitness quest..he knows a lot about healthy habits.
Going ack to some old art..enjoy.

Bummer about your knee, but isn't it cool they can fix stuff like that! Hang in there!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the knee but Kimberly is so right...at least it can be fixed! Love your new header photo...awesome!
ReplyDeleteoy vey, kay, i am so sorry to read this...my hubbie has had this done at least twice and frankly, no biggie but if you have weight to lose, that would always help things...the bone on bone thing is really painful but he built our house with it and messed it all up following one surgery in which the next day he was back building house and then had another surgery a few months, maybe six, back and is doing fine ... again... til he messes it up again. seems bad knees are something some people just get and so, he feels "well..."
ReplyDeletemen are men...
xoxoxox and your art was spectacular with apologies i have not been out and about much leaving comments. hoping to change that about NOW. xoxo
thanks Ladies..I am happy that there is a fix!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda..men are like that..my hubby actually bent pins that were placed in his wrist to stabilize it after surgery!!! Dr. was surprised when he removed them.
Bisous
Hi Kay,
ReplyDeleteYou'll do just fine with that new knee, but it may hurt your art--You may feel so good, you'll be too busy enjoying that beautiful country to make art!
Best Wishes, in advance Kay.
Sincerely,
Gary.
I agree with Gary---you'll love replacing that knee. I have a friend who just did that last fall and she healed remarkably quickly. She can't wait to have enough sick leave to get her other knee done!
