April 4,2011
these are the other 4 paintings I did. Thinking about calling the series " Between Earth and Orion" or Between Earth and Sky", Possibly "Sandstone and Nebula".
I plan to start a larger one to enter in the Spring Salon at Springville art museum today. Have the vet coming to look at my horse Diamond. He needs his teeth floated (ouch) and dewormed..lost a lot of weight this winter. Hoping to get him on the mend so he can be fat and sassy again. He likes to run the fence at night. A white Arab against the dark night. I think he fancies himself a wild desert Stallion! Had to get into the mud to get a halter on him..it snowed yesterday. Today the sun is out but I am heartily sick of winter!!!

I like the last two especially.
ReplyDeleteKay, I like the between Earth and sky paintings. I can see where you coming from when you siad you are interested in the cosmos and rock art.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Kathryn
Le premier et le troisième m'interpellent... Un tourbillon de vie...
ReplyDeleteLes nuances de couleurs sont sublimes.
Gros bisous et merci pour vos gentils commentaires...
I love these rich mixes of colors. The oranges and greens especially are so entrancing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors!!! We've been away for 3 months and had someone else look after the horses. One of ours looks pretty bad too. I'll be trying to fatten him up once he's had his zimectrin!
ReplyDeletegood news is Diamond is thin but ok. Teeth needed floated and he was wormed. Now some senior feed and hay and he should get his weight back up. Sorry to say I had to cut off his mane which gets so matted. He is like a child with long ratty hair. won't sit still to have it combed out!!!The vet didn't cost an arm and a leg and other than goofy for a bit after the shot to keep him calm..he is back to yelling at me every time I go in the back. Thanks for the lovely comments.
ReplyDeleteThese (and the paintings in the previous post) are so beautiful, lovely colours and patterns. Hope Diamond recovers and fattens up soon

Your abstracts which include rock art really speak to me. I am glad I found your blog. I read your comment on Magyar Haiku, and his response to you piqued my interest.
